A lot was happening on this sunny day in the New Land. As the Oak, the Scots Pine, and the Turkish Pine were arriving at their new location, their trunks became filled with the joy of healing. Meanwhile, as the Flathead Trout, the Sand Tiger Shark, the Mediterranean Monk Seal, the Spiny Dogfish, the Beyşehir Bleak, the Sperm Whale, and the Green Turtle settled into the New Land Aquarium, they were thinking of their endangered ancestors, who would never have imagined such a meaningful destiny. In this New Land of endangered species, the buildings and the more-than-human inhabitants were undergoing constant maintenance and care. The archives of the New Land Institutions were full of publications, conversations, and episodes related to maintenance, care, and multi-species imagination. The Anatolian Wild Ass, the Persian Fallow Deer, the Marbled Polecat, the Indian Porcupine, the Caracal, the Wild Goat, the Black-tailed Gazelle, and the Anatolian Wild Sheep were savoring meadows freed from toxic chemicals. Flying over the New Land, the Sociable Lapwing, the Northern Bald Ibis, and the Short-toed Snake Eagle could not help but enjoy the aerial view of this multi-species solidarity and collective reckoning. Referred to as the First Inhabitants, they were ready for this new beginning, for a new era of Earthly survival, a celebration of sharing and living together.
